Area Rugs

We searched for the perfect rug for years. Rockford Carpet Company custom designed our rug, and we had it in our home in before Thanksgiving. Mr. Ketner, Thank you so much for all you did in making our ideas come to life. The rugs are wonderful and a great welcome for all who enter.

We carry a wide selection of area rugs. Most of our rugs are 100% wool, made by hand in the Orient. We have many choices in braided rugs and carpeting. Some of our suppliers of area rugs are:
Hand woven: produced in limited quantities on hand looms. These rugs are of high quality. Many hand woven rugs are "one-of-a-kind". Hand Woven rugs are made of natural fibers (e.g. wool, silk, cotton). These rugs can have minor variations in size, pattern, and color, even in the programmed designs. Hand knotted: produced in limited quantities by the hand knotting of individual yarns by the rug makers. These rugs are also of a higher quality, and can have the same nuances of design exhibited in hand woven rugs. Hand tufted: produced in limited quantities, using the combination of both hand and mechanical devices in the manufacturing process. These rugs offer the look and feel of higher quality hand knotted rugs at a lower cost. Machine woven: mass produced by mechanical looms of wool or synthetic yarns. Looms are precise and every rug produced is identical in both pattern and size. Machine woven rugs can be made in many levels of quality and price. |
